Have installed 2 hot n cold hydrants, plus 2 cold water versions. Install is definitely different, but compared to the old school version of a dogwash station. These are so much better. Definitely takes some thought before you order so you know whether you need the 90° elbows or the straight version. Have friends building a >$1 million home and it has the old 2 knob copper dogwash station. No comparison.

I just had my Hydrant installed yesterday and so far so good. I did order two Comfort Grip House connectors because I think it would be much better than what came with it.
This will be much easier than my old faucets.
This is the 4th V1+ I have installed. 1 in my van and 2 on my primary house before this one on a vacation property. The peace of mind for cold weather application along with expansion pex pipe make this combo a winner. High quality, well made, easy install.
