Did you know you can swap out the standard inlet that comes with your hydrant? Perhaps you want to connect to PEX, and/or attach a 90° elbow.
First, twist off the included 1/2” NPT Straight Inlet from the back of the hydrant body.
Then, attach your preferred Aquor inlet.
Our elbow inlets shorten the overall hydrant length by 1/2 inch, perfect for tight spaces and in-wall plumbing. This type of inlet can be positioned in any direction due to a unique O-ring seal.
Tighten fully, then back off to the desired placement (up to 360°, 1 rotation). Pretty nifty!
I bought one last year, I lasted approx 8 months. When I went to use it in March it was leaking inside the cartridge and backfilling into the house. So had a plumber come up and install shutoff valves, So I wouldn't have to shut off the whole house Should have done this before.
The Aquor Company was very understanding and sent out a replacement part, it was installed and still leaked. Called Aquor again, They immediately sent me out a whole new hot and cold hydrant, this was installed and working great at this time. So hope it lasts more than 8 months.
I am pleased with the hydrant. The way it works, looks.
I ordered this because of the slim profile and insulation benefits during the winter time. The spigot it comes with is pretty lame though. I needed to order another one that has a turn off valve for an extra $25.
